I’m an incoming full-time SWE @ Google Canada. Previously I did some internships at Google and Meta. I have a background of pure mathematics before I learnt how to program. I have also worked as a full-stack developer.
I love learning for the sake of learning, it follows that I have experience with lots of different environments, technologies, and programming languages. Low level embedded programming, game development, databases, operating systems, the web, etc. I like understanding how everything works underneath the visible layer.
I like to distinguish the 2 sides of software (and everything in life, really), the engineering side, and the aritstic side:
- The engineering side: “I code because I need to /solve/“.
- The artistic side: “I code because I want to /code/“.
